Maisie James Co. didn’t start as a grand business plan or a perfectly curated brand.  It started the way most real creative things do on a table, with a mess, an idea, and a need to make something. What began as one hand-painted item slowly turned into many. Then collections. Then late nights covered in clay, paint, resin, dried citrus, glitter, and whatever magical idea showed up next. Somewhere along the way, this stopped being “just a hobby” and became a tiny universe of art, ritual, nostalgia, humor, and heart. It took time to realize it, but this business grew from a lifelong love of tiny things, the little knickknacks you find in local gift shops while traveling. The kind you tuck into a bag and bring home. The kind you place on a shelf and smile every time you see them because they remind you of a good day, a fun trip, a moment where life felt light. Those small objects matter. They hold memories. Feelings. Intentions. That love quietly shaped everything here.

 

Maisie James Co. is built on the belief that magic doesn’t have to be serious and art doesn’t have to be perfect. It can be playful. A little unhinged. Sentimental. Loud. Soft. Cosmic. Witchy. Sometimes all at once.

Everything here is designed and created by hand in small batches, often one-of-a-kind—because sameness was never the goal. Each piece is meant to feel like it found you, whether it’s a pair of statement earrings, a fake-cake keepsake box, a simmer pot blend, or a tiny object that simply exists to make you happy. 

 

This brand grew alongside real life: a busy house, kids running through the studio, creativity squeezed into stolen moments, and the constant reminder that art doesn’t need permission to exist. It’s a business built on intuition, curiosity, and following ideas wherever they lead, even when they don’t make sense yet.
